TV viewers know him from the "Joe Franklin Show," where he was until recently a regular. He also has played everywhere in New York City from Temple Emanu-el to the New School.

" I can turn anything into ragtime," he says, and plays a ragtime version of "Sh-Boom," a '50's doo-wop hit. "Anybody want a ragtime "Amazing Grace?" he asks. Nobody does.
